Maintenance/Security & Office/Registrations/Guest Services

This campground has almost 300 sites. We turn over approximately 200 guests each week throughout the summer. This is our 2nd summer here. Andrew works in Maintenance, doing minor plumbing and electrical. Site cleanup. Tree removal and stump grinding. Propane fills. Using a Kabota tractor to maintain roads and sites. Miscellaneous maintenance projects as assigned by the owner. Security patrols, handling guest issues. Alexis works in Customer service/guest relations, maintaining exceptional guest service. Creating, editing and canceling reservations. Email marketing. Handling accounts receivable. Handling guest issues. Answering phones and emails. Helping out in the store as a cashier when needed. Creating reports and excel spreadsheets for the owners as needed. Assisting with record keeping. Miscellaneous office tasks as assigned by the owners.

Maintenance/Housekeeping & Office/Registrations/Guest Services/Housekeeping

We both assisted with a complete store and office remodel. Helped with new flooring, sheet rock, new slat walls, removed and updated store ceiling lights, painted everything, helped with all aspects of construction. To include cutting and building doors, doorways, baseboards. We also assisted with all housekeeping projects. Cleaning bathrooms, sites, cabins and lodges. In March we deep cleaned all of the rustic cabins to prepare for season opening. Andrew helped with all maintenance projects. Including replacing a 50/30/110 electrical pedestal. He also used the tractor to update and backfill sites. He added rip rap, fines and pea gravel. Created tent sites and gravel walkways. Added rip rap, gravel and mulch to help beautify sites, cabins and lodges. Helped drop trees and used stump grinder to remove stumps from roadways and sites. Used backpack leaf blowers and tractor to remove large areas of leaves. Alexis also assisted with reservations, guest services and store. Assisting guests with making and editing their reservations using KOA’s K2 reservation system. Taking phone calls and handling emails. Assisted general manager with training and miscellaneous office projects as assigned.

Sugar Beet Harvest Semi Truck Driver (Andrew only)

Worked the sugar beet harvest. Drove a semi, carrying around 90,000 pounds of sugar beets from the farmers field to the piling station or the processing plant. Also assisted with hauling corn from the field to the processing plant. After learning how to drive and properly maneuver a semi, Andrew is now fully competent in parking and handling any size rig in any size campground or park.

Maintenance/Office/Customer Service & Office/Housekeeping

Andrew did general maintenance on the club house, grounds and firing range. Filled and repaired skeet/trap machines. Built fences. Did snow removal with shovels and snow blowers. Assisted with skeet/trap tournaments. Completed maintenance on machines and equipment. Assisted customers with registration and renting equipment. Alexis cleaned the clubhouse and occasionally assisted with judging tournaments. Occasionally assisted in the office with registering guests and taking payments.

Office Manager / Production Manager / Graphic Designer (Alexis only)

Managed Office remotely. Performed routine office tasks including A/R. Monitored and maintained staff of 6 + people during peak seasons. Ordered shirts and supplies for wholesale and retail t-shirt company. Maintained great relationships with business and customers. Performed routine customer service tasks. Maintained all websites and wholesale platforms. Made and trained all employees how to make sublimation t-shirts. Utilized Adobe Photoshop to create and update graphic designs for shirts and mockups for all websites. Maintained and updated several Excel spreadsheets. Made and maintained relationships with boutiques and businesses across America.

911 Police / Fire / EMS Dispatcher (Alexis only)

Answered 911 emergency calls. Answered 6-line business non-emergency calls. Dispatched and monitored Police, Fire and EMS personnel as appropriate. Performed routine office tasks. Maintained great relationships with other agencies, court systems, personnel and community. Multi-tasked by monitoring 6 computer screens, multiple programs, answering phones, dispatching and monitoring personnel at the same time.

Patrol Officer / Evidence Tech (Andrew only)

General Patrol. Conducted traffic stops and wrote incident/offence reports. Investigated traffic accidents. Investigated felony and misdemeanor cases. Collected evidence at crime scenes. Found and destroyed an active meth lab. Became a certified evidence tech. Specializing in finger prints and taking crime scene photographs. Collected evidence on a large variety of cases. Processed multiple scenes to include three capital murder cases. Worked with multiple agency’s, from local to federal level. **retired from law enforcement in 2022**
